This card performed well in 3DMark01SE, producing 14,739 3Dmarks and falling just behind the top performing AOpen in this category. Unfortunately, it fell slightly behind the competition in the 3DMark05 high stress test, and even fell behind two of the three X700Pro cards on test. While performance was consistent across the board with the other cards shown, the XFX dropped considerably overall at the hands of a poor feature set and value for money.
Although having three reasonably recent games adding to the value of the card, it lacked any form of cables, quite perplexing given the S-video output port found on the card. This lack of cabling also limits it as a VIVO unit, while the lack of even basic complementary DVD playback software such as PowerDVD or WinDVD didn't help its case. The XFX is an expensive card ($110 more expensive than the Labs winning and identically performing Gigabyte NX66T128D card). Potential purchasers will be steered toward the Labs recommended with its full version of Doom3 and plentiful cables and adaptors.
