Microsoft's hardware division pumps out some excellent keyboards and mice, and from the latest refresh of their range comes the evocatively named top-model Optical Desktop Elite for Bluetooth. This keyboard and mouse set works, as the name implies, via Bluetooth, which gives you around a 10 metre range from your PC. The tiny Bluetooth USB dongle also lets you connect other Bluetooth devices to your PC, so it's a bit of a personal area network bonus.
The peripherals feature a pleasant faux-leather finish and blue auto-grade paint job, and really are the BMW of input devices. At $299.95 this isn't a cheap purchase at all, but it's perfect for pampering the mouse-jockey in your life.
