Compro's VideoMate Gold TV may be an analog TV tuner card, but it's got one feature that alone makes it better then the DTV cards reviewed - it has a power pass-through for your PC's power switch.

Compro's VideoMate Gold TV may be an analog TV tuner card, but it's got one feature that alone makes it better then the DTV cards reviewed - it has a power pass-through for your PC's power switch. What this enables is a canny wake-up function: you set the tuner to record a program at a certain time, hours, days or weeks in advance, and regardless of whether the machine's powered down the VideoMate TV Gold plus will boot up your system, record the program then shut the system down again. That's some awesome power.
