Strongest in the performance stakes, this drive managed to take fourth place for burn speed and second place for disc read time.

Strongest in the performance stakes, this drive managed to take fourth place for burn speed and second place for disc read time. Although shipping as an almost OEM drive with no supplied burnable media, software or accessories, it finished dead on average overall. At $269 it represents good value for money as a 12x DVD burner but there’s better value to be found in the Labs winning Mitsubishi at nearly half the price.
