Like Samsung, Aopen’s trump card is their ridiculously low price; a CD writer at $49 is pretty hard to beat. Unfortunately the performance is somewhat lacking, the CRW5232 taking last place in both read and write speed testing. Granted, the margins are narrow, but this certainly isn’t the fastest burner featured. For the cost however, this is a great little performer and would be ideal for business file archiving or home usage without breaking the budget.
