Another drive to feature both SATA and Molex power connectors on the rear of the unit, this drive offers both backwards compatibility with suitable motherboards and future native SATA power supplies. Although shaky on the graphs, this is a solid performer and the cheapest 250GB SATA drive in our roundup. Fairly comparable to the Maxtor MaXLine Plus II, price is in the WD's favour if you don't mind trading off the marginal performance difference.
