Toshiba don't often venture into lower price point notebooks, so we were quite impressed to receive a system from them under $2500, let alone a desktop Pentium 4 3GHz processor, DVD burner and 64MB ATI RADEON 9000 IGP graphics.
Toshiba don't often venture into lower price point notebooks, so we were quite impressed to receive a system from them under $2500, let alone a desktop Pentium 4 3GHz processor, DVD burner and 64MB ATI RADEON 9000 IGP graphics. Toshiba have made system recovery a snap, including a three CD set of recovery disks, letting you restore your machine to the image on the disks simply by booting up the machine with the first CD installed. Front mounting the optical drive is a nice function for desk use, but slightly more of a challenge when operating the unit on your lap as you'll need to move it away from you or rest it elsewhere to extend the drive. The front of the chassis also houses the audio controls for track skip, play and stop. Good graphics capabilities and productivity scores make this an ideal all-rounder for anyone on a budget.
