Although heavily kitted out with an ATI Mobility RADEON 9700 featuring 128MB of dedicated video memory, 1.5GHz Pentium M and half a gigabyte of PC2700 DDR, the Zephyra XT finished in the lower half for overall placement. Battery life of 181 minutes, while not unreasonable, wasn't enough against the other units - the ASUS and Targa sitting on or just shy of 5 hours of usage under full workload. Housed in the same chassis as the Protac EXCEL G556, featuring an attractive glossy cover and two shortcut quick launch buttons for your email client and web browser, the well spaced keyboard is comfortable to type on, giving you plenty of wrist leaning room. Build quality is solid, although the placement of the two USB ports and the infrared on the rear of the unit makes it difficult to plug and unplug devices while lap bound. Gamers will be impressed by the graphics, but for the additional battery life and same price, it's hard not to recommend the MegaBook M510C from MSI.
