Physically similar to the Scorpion Z-Box system with its black anodised midi tower, this unit also features a pair of both front-mounted audio 3.5mm sockets and USB ports, perfect for quick plug and play of both bus and externally powered devices such as keyboards, printers, joysticks and removable USB pen drives.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced PC absolutely bursting at the seams with features, look no further. Beginning with the motherboard, the choice to go with ASUS' flagship range of P4P800 includes Gigabit Ethernet, dual channel DDR and Serial ATA 150 connectivity. Built onto the well-featured base, we find ATI's latest graphics card in a 9600XT, combined with a half gigabyte of memory; we've got a real speed demon in the making.
Looking under the hood we find a tri-coloured LED fan extracting hot air from the machine - although it should have no trouble cycling used air with its carefully tied cable layout to allow for maximum airflow throughout the system.
Narrowly pipped as the third highest overall SYSmark performer by Emagen's offering to the sub $2,500 price bracket, this system came in a mere 9 points behind with a respectable 261 score. Not too shabby at all for a budget machine.
