Surprising us with its below average results in all categories of testing, the Epson CX5300 lacked any form of removable media input. It also fell behind in the feature scores, with only USB 1.1 connectivity, despite being one of only a handful to supply a USB cable.
Slow to scan our test subject photo, it did feature quality image reproduction for skintones and high res printing, although the OCR test left us shaking our heads somewhat with its absence of translation. Just below average overall, it's not a bad printer, but the slow scan speed may put off prospective all-in-one purchasers in favour of standalone products.
