The second Panasonic submitted, the PT-LC76E rated higher than its sister model - with even better performance for both office and home real world tests - and came only second to the Hitachi CPS210 overall. Its definite strength was in displaying colours, and we were surprised to see it project DVD (albeit in a cut down 16:9 format to fit its 4:3 ratio) much better than the PT-AE300E. It had twice the brightness of the PT-AE300E but only half the contrast ratio.
Features-wise it also rated much better, with its inclusion of mouse control, feed-though D-Sub, ability to display XGA resolution, and an excellent lamp life/replacement cost figure.
