One of only a handful of non-Intel chipsets we received, AOpen's XCube EZ18 features an NVIDIA nForce2 chipset with support for 266 and 333MHz AMD processors.
One standout feature of this system is the a dual VGA connectors, allowing you to connect a pair of monitors, and it also sports RCA video out and optical Toslink connectivity for audio. Clearly designed for the core barebones function, the feature set would perfectly suit anyone looking to set up a home entertainment box or small form factored gaming machine.
It's bundled with all the goodies you'll need to get up and building straight out of the box, included is a Serial ATA cable, pair of IDE cables, SATA power adaptor, floppy disk drive cable and IEC power cable.
The easily accessible housing, well laid out board and high quality rating made this contender for the Recommended Award, but it was narrowly pipped by the Shuttle XPC SB62G2.
The Xcube is attractive and boasts plenty of options, although it is a little pricey. Compact, easy to use and loaded with goodies, be sure to check this one out.
