One of the more difficult units to navigate whilst installing hardware, ABIT's DigiDice barebones was one of only two submitted systems to feature bay real estate to accommodate more than a single optical drive, the other system being the Soltek Qbic EQ-3401M.
Addition and removal of hardware once assembled is difficult as a result of the large bay cages for the peripherals blocking access to RAM DIMMs and motherboard headers. The DigiDice has a front panel that can be used to hide your drive faceplates and allows for an absolute minimalist view of your PC. When opened they reveal your components, and the slide tucks neatly inside your case to avoid damage from rough handling. A huge side-mounted fan moves a fair bit of air around the housing, although sloppy cabling will force you to stop cables hitting the blades of the CPU cooler.
Bundled with a carry bag, ABIT's classic cooling solutions, essential oil burner and remote control, its size and weight does make it rather heavy for a portable PC, but inclusion of dual optical drive and disk mounting space makes it ideal for the hardware intensive user.
