Boasting a two-year warranty, LG's offering to the DVD market is a mixed one in that what it lacks in burn speed it more than makes up for in its writable formats.

Boasting a two-year warranty, LG's offering to the DVD market is a mixed one in that what it lacks in burn speed it more than makes up for in its writable formats. The only drive to cover +R/RW, -R/RW and DVD-RAM - it has a finger in every pie of the format war, a safe bet given any eventual winner. The inclusion of a decent archiving and playback software bundle gives this drive plenty to crow about when facing off against such stiff competition as the cheaper Winning and Recommended drives. If you don't want to shell out a fortune, but also don't mind waiting marginally longer while burning, this is the new wave of optical storage, be sure to check it out.
