Pioneer's Value notebook is another well-featured offering, with a large variety of ports, a combo drive and a very handy three-year warranty.
While not quite as attractive as some of the other notebooks here, it's still fairly functional. The keyboard has decent-sized keys and the screen is clear and bright. It's about average in terms of weight at 3.1kg (sans power adaptor), but it can still feel a little bulky when closed.
Regrettably, the NBPD270's performance was comparatively underwhelming, although it's not entirely surprising given its use of a Celeron CPU. It managed to hang around the middle of the pack in most cases, but was outclassed by all three of the 'clone' models and the slower Notino 4400.
The Value NBPD270 is a decent notebook, but its specs are slightly underwhelming and it leaves a little to be desired in terms of build quality.
