This is another dual-band 802.11a/802.11b PCMCIA adaptor that offers the best of both worlds. A dual-band adaptor in a notebook is most appreciated when roaming through a corporation that has both standards running, for use at work and at home (where you're more likely to be running an 802.11b wireless network), and for the business traveller.
The cross-pollination capabilities of this card were great, and we achieved higher results in the file transfer tests when we coupled it with the Booya BWMR15 access point than with the complementary 802.11b D-Link DWL614 access point. Because of this, we used the results with the Booya. Under the good signal conditions this adaptor sucked down the data quickly, and it was no slouch under the bad conditions where it managed decent speeds with minimal data loss.
Unfortunately this is another product marred by software and firmware: again, we were unable to configure WEP security.
