At its very reasonable price, the Excalibur 9200 is ideal for anyone on a budget or in search of an upgrade. The RADEON 9200 is no scorcher, but it did return a reasonable memory bandwidth score under heavy load - helping to future proof your investment. Given this, it still only supports DirectX 8.1, which precludes it from using many of the new features in games like Half-Life 2 and Doom 3. This means it’s not recommended for those wishing to do any serious gaming. Its performance was similar to that of the Gigabyte 9200, but this is your better buy given the fact it costs roughly three-quarters the price.
