The EasyShare CX4230 is a 2.1-megapixel unit with 16MB internal memory, ability to write to both SD and MMC, 3x optical zoom, auto focus, USB and PC card connectivity, and video-out.
This is the most expensive of the 2-megapixel range in our round-up, but certainly one of the easiest to use. The CX4230 is a point-and-shoot camera. It's small and stylish with automatic settings, and is tailored to users who are less fussy about features with the emphasis placed on the quick sharing of images.
The bundled EasyShare software lives up to its name and is aimed at comforting novice users, making image transfer and management a quick and simple affair.
The CX4230 can be used with the Kodak EasyShare Camera Dock II, which can transfer images while charging the battery pack.
On the downside, the EasyShare CX4230 cannot capture video and does not have audio recording, unlike some of the lower-priced 2-megapixel units. The speed was also a little slow when it came to processing images between each shot.
