The BenQ DC2300 is a 2.1-megapixel camera with 2,048 x 1,536 optical resolution, 8MB internal memory, fixed focus, and built-in flash. It stores images and video in MMC and SD card media, has a USB interface and takes AA batteries. A fairly low priced camera, the DC2300 offers white-balance modes, metering modes and exposure adjustments.
A highlight of the DC2300 is it has no time limit in video recording, and is only dependant on the capacity of the card media used. This goes well with another feature of the DC2300: its battery life – BenQ claims that the camera can handle over two hours without a flash. The downside however, is that it is not capable of recording any audio.
The dual storage option of either MMC or SD card media stands well against the fact that many mid-range digital cameras only support one type of storage. The DC2300 is a fine and plain-looking entry-level camera for those looking to have some fun with digital camera technology.
