Dell Optiplex SX260

Saturday March 01, 2003
Dell
AUD
$3676
Price at time of review.

Dell's OptiPlex range is aimed at the corporate market, and traditionally bog-standard and boring boxes with little imagination and componentry to match, but the OptiPlex SX260 is a totally different beast.

Great design, but its combination of components and price detract from the overall package.

It’s the most expensive laptop we’ve looked at yet. David Hollingworth ponders if you get the right amount of bang for your buck.

A monster PC thanks to some very high-end components. But it’s noisy and expensive.

Despite some odd feature choices, this is an affordable powerhouse of a laptop. A great value mid-range Centrino 2 laptop, as long as you're not worried about battery life.
