The WinFast Titanium 200 T shares is similar to its big brother, the Ti 500 TD, in terms of good performance at an affordable price. This time around however, its the performance-on-a-budget GeForce3 Ti 200 chipset offered at the very affordable price of $555, making it a strong contender for PC Authoritys Value Award.
In terms of performance, the cards based on the Ti 200 chipset show negligible variations, with a range of 0.03 across our normalised overall performance scores. Collectively, they provide some competition for the more expensive and higher clocked GeForce3 and Radeon 8500 cards. Specifically, the WinFast 200 T produced a playable Q3A High Quality 1,600 score of 42.2fps and a respectable 51.1fps in the High Quality 1,024 test with 64-tap Anisotropic Filtering.
With such little performance variation among similar chipsets, it really comes down to price and features when deciding on which brand name to choose. All the Ti 200 cards are better for overclocking than any other chipset, and the added DVI output on the 200 T adds to the standard feature set. Price is where the 200 T really shines; unfortunately, it doesnt quite match the slightly cheaper MSI G3Ti200, and narrowly misses out on the PC Authority Value Award.
