We reviewed the Neovo S-15V in our September 2001 issue (page 86) and were so impressed, its been sitting on our A-List ever since. With the precedent set, we were keen to see how the feature-packed M-15V compared against the latest models.

The first thing youll notice is the reinforced protective glass layer, and the second is the stylish design. Both combine to make the M-15V the most divergent model in terms of physical design, which is also consistent with the wide array of built-in features. The M-15V doesnt sit on a stand, but rather on a folding base that houses two speakers, a USB hub (two downstream, one upstream) and video input, catering for S-Video and composite connections. This allows for direct video input from DVD players, VCRs or games consoles, making it much more flexible than any other screen in the Labs.

None of these features would be worth a cent if the screen quality wasnt also there and while there was little variation in DisplayMate and colour analysis scores, the M-15V couldnt compete with the winning models. In the end, the slick and relatively expensive M-15V has an extensive set of features with the added bonus of a protective glass screen.
