The little R2D2 from Speaker Realm certainly packs a punch - and very cheap too.

Packaged to resemble a squash ball topped with strawberry jam, a quick twist of the wrist and it morphs into a black rubber yo-yo that vibrates with amazing sound. Bass tones and treble notes co-exist to produce a remarkably clean mix. It easily handles a range of music styles from hip hop thru to their more challenging classical bro's. The clear and crisp reproduction with a range of octaves defies its size. This battery powered speaker is designed to attach to iPods, mobile phones and laptop computers and recharges through a computer USB port. It can be daisy chained to produce a serious multi dimensional effect. We liked the original X-mini, and the Mark II definitely delivers on its promise of "Sound Beyond Size".
