A surprise return to form for Nvidia, as this card matches ATI’s latest for both performance and value.

You know, when it comes to testing GPUs I wish PCA would use something other than games.
After all, while games are popular, there are fields that need this power for other reasons. The two I am most familiar with are Electronic Design Automation, and of course movie CGI.
With benchmarks being of limited use most of the time, it would be rather interesting to see PCA add to its testing regime some useful applications such as rendering a brief movie with Maya from Autodesk, or running EDA and similar CAD tools as well.

I agree with totoaus for a different reason.

Why the obsession with gaming performance and nothing else?

A huge number of us use our PC's for watching video or just the TV.
We don't want a gaming card with a fan setup that sounds like the space shuttle launch.

I've been looking for a video card suitable for a media centre PC, so it has to be quiet!

However, most reviews dont even mention how much noise the card makes.
I cannot find a review of any recently released quiet video card. It is very frustrating.

The fastest card we’ve seen, but the performance boost doesn’t justify the price.
