We've been impressed with Norton 360 - security for those who want something simple but effective. We're also impressed with the changes in Norton Internet Security 2009. So how does Norton 360 version 3.0 stack up?

"Not industry leading as claimed."

Pros:
It has computer maintainance features which helps improving performance.

Cons:
Takes time in starting.
It claims to be the award winning and industry leading but it is not the case. It assures you with a big green tick on the screen but after installing other internet securities I came to know that my computer was infected with some of the trojans. though it has a lot of features it takes a lot of time in starting.

 You have got to be joking! As a technician in a local computer store, I remove all versions of Norton and often find malware hiding on the system - especially variants of Trojan.Vundo... all the while Norton is sitting there with a big green tick. It makes me sick. You want simple and effective? Go for Avira or NOD32. Norton still sucks.

 Tried to buy Kaspersky, couldn't find it on the shelf in any nearby stores, so I bought Norton Internet Security 2009 (decided I did not want the extra features of the 360 version but I can;t see it as working any better/differently as the article says these functions should be the same).

Worked fine on my PC, but it has totally screwed my better halfs PC, to the extent that I had to buy a new HDD as her's can not be booted up to windows or from a XP Boot CD (she hates Vista and will stay with XP for now). I had Symantec/Norton support remote controlling the PC at one stage to try and fix it, but it totally killed the drive in the end (due to using reset and corrupting files after it totally hangs the PC).
Tried to install it on the clean install, and it screwed up the PC again. It has been removed.
I doubt I will renew in 12 months.
