Price at time of review.
A startling achievement: a highly capable mini-laptop for under $700. Only mediocre battery life mars its appeal.

Bought a wind 3 weeks ago. Brilliant machine. Pity the article is a little inaccurate as my machine was $599 (retail not through an online store) and came with a 6 cell battery as standard. Also pity the article didnt mention the ease of overclocking the atom to 2.0 Ghz. This is using an MSI supplied bios update that is fully supported by the manufacturer. My system is stable all day at 2.0 Ghz with the stock ram. Much better than an EEE PC 1000 or the Acer One. Highly reccomended, get one before the price goes up as the dollar goes down!

I believe you can overclock the Eee to 2GHz too.

Average User Rating 6

As one of Australia's few locally designed netbooks, the Kogan Agora lives up to some lofty netbook ideals, but it’s sadly ho-hum in too many aspects to be seen as a real netbook contender.

Part laptop and part nettop, the Gigabyte Booktop M1022M is the first netbook we’ve seen that overcomes the ‘3 USB problem'.
