Glad you still like this phone, but a few thoughts on the article: 1. Lack of scientific rigor: i.e. one phot shows it next to an iPhone, the next to an N95. Both photos should have all 3 phones. You risk accusations of tabloid journalism with these distortions. Sure, there is a gallery of 21 photos to look at, that is slow and imprecise as they appear to lack captions. 2. Where are the real specs: whose networks support it, HSDPA and speed, size of memory card supported (N95 does 2GB from memory, Palm Treo Pro 32GB on the same card size). 3. My usual tirade on behalf of rural readers: is it NextG compatible; and is it rural, regional or town rated? Again, I know the Palm Treo pro is NextG, with HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps and rural ticked. But then, maybe a rural reader like me, should be on staff and doing the internet and phone reviews!

totoaus, the photos have captions. The variety of photos are to give readers a better idea of the size of the E71. While we try to photograph phones against all available phones, it's not always possible as we don't always have each handset available for photo purposes at the same time. You raise a good point about NextG compatibility - we'll keep this in mind when we cover new smartphones. What phone are you using and what issues have you found with NextG compatibility? |
