I kind of bagged your First Look at this phone, so how about a bit of balance.
1. There are options to using the keypad for long emails, or as I was taught: there is more than one way to skin a cat.
You could save those long emails until you get home, or get Nokia's SU-8W wireless keyboard, or one of many bluetooth keyboards such as one HP sells for the iPaq, but then Microsoft & LogiTech do BT keyboards. On a bus, this may be awkward but you can't have everything, even with a Nokia E90 Communicator. Of course, my favorite Nokia idea for email, and especially SMS is to connect the phone to my PC, draft the message tehre, then let the phone send it. After only one SMS years ago, I grew to hate SMS on a phone keypad, and still do. I guess we can't ever be happy as it seems teh better any technology gets, the more people complain about its perceived shortcomings.
If readers really want detailed specs, do as I did and go to the Nokia web site, the PDF info sheet has it all: apart from my usual desire to know if telstra gives it a rural tick (I'll wait for that, even though I hate my old GSM Nokia - it's the phone model, not Nokia at fault here as I have had 2 other Nokia's. I was forced to snatch and grab from a limited range).

I have had the e71 for about 2 weeks now coming off a Blackberry 8310 pearl. I love the data speed on Optus 3g network. I would like it more if it had Blackberry Connect but apparently Nokia no longer supporting this. I have it on a telaustralia Plan with 2Gb and in 2 weeks of pretty heavy browsing have used on 450mb so I think the data use will be OK. On the Blackberry I had an unlimited RIM data Plan. The toss up was between the E71 and the Blackberry bold and it was basically price that git the E71 across the line.

The HTC Magic, available through Vodafone and Three in Australia, may be the second Android phone but it's the first worth considering.

Sumptuous design, a fantastic screen and a high-quality feel. Not as easy to use as an iPhone, but far more powerful
