More storage and a bigger screen address the main issues that arose with the original, but the price has risen too.

"Mobility Plus, but!"

Pros:
1. Small size
2. Great screen
3. Low weight
4. Quick boot

Cons:
1. Primary SSD too small
I purchased this last Friday, 25th july. I was impressed by its small size, the screen and its quite good specs. I got the XP version because of software compatibility.
I installed anti-virus, got online and then the trouble started. There were about 19 windows updates from microsoft and i ran out of room after service pack 3. Windows reported only 66Mb remaining. The primary SSD is too small for windows and its constant updates. Either go for linux or install a bigger SSD.

"EeePC 900"

Pros:
1. Truly portable
2. Good battery life
3. Flexible in OS use
4. Fast enough for its intended purpose
5. great size for travelling and "bump-proof".

Cons:
1. Limited to black or white colour selection in Australia
2. Not much software available in the standard repository for easy download - where's the Mahjong for the long plane trips?
This is a truly amazing ultra mobile PC. It is small, fast and the Xandros Linux interface is quick and easy to use - somewhat like a PDA. The webcam works beautifully and the added storage for the Linux version is a bonus for travelling or for carrying work documents. The applications chosen for the 900 include Skype, OpenOffice and a basic application for almost everything you need to do on such a portable machine. You can also configure the 900 via a command line interface, or run a portable Linux distro from a USB or SD interface - its configuration is limited only by your imagination, and if you make an error - reinstall from a USB drive!
The Eee PC is great for portability - no moving parts except a fan...so if lounging on a deckchair in the sun surfing the Internet, playing music or watching a video is what you want to do, and I do, its a great machine.

I just bought one of these and i love it.
It is so light and easy to use. No more carrying around a 15.4" heavy laptop on business trips.

ASUS eeePCs are good but a few people at work who have them said their only disappointment is the keyboard size ... not good for fat fingered people was the comment made by one user ..

I want one of these babies sometime in the future could be very useful with my wireless setup - Wireless is only serving my wii, jasjam and PSP at the moment...

Luckily they're brining out larger keyboard versions of the 900/901. ;)

Or you can get the Eee 1000 which is 10" and a larger keyboard.

Average User Rating 6

As one of Australia's few locally designed netbooks, the Kogan Agora lives up to some lofty netbook ideals, but it’s sadly ho-hum in too many aspects to be seen as a real netbook contender.
