"Dell XPS M1530 - Just a Review From Nynth"

Pros:
8600M GT = FAST Graphics Card
Dual Core CPU = For multi-tasking up the ying-yang
200GB HDD = Lotsa Space!!

Cons:
15.4" Screen = A Tad Too Small
Vista = Not XP :D
Well Dell has done it again. When it comes to desktops they have much competition with HP & ACER and the sort. But when it comes to NOTEBOOK department, even though HP & ACER are still MASSIVE players, for the MID-RANGE section, this notebook takes the cake hands down. I mean i'm not much for branded machines, i prefer to build my own hence i don't really like DELL or manufactured, assembly line PC's. But after reading the SPECS, reviews and seeing this machine in action first hand. I've come to realise that the assembly line is there for a reason. To produce weapons like the M1530.

For the price, this is one of the quickest machines you can get your hands on. If you are a gaming buff, like myself, you will love the DUAL CORE INTEL T7250 mixed in with the 8600M GT makes a massive punch to most games you throw at it. Obviously it wont have the same desired effect as a desktop running DUAL 9800GTX's will, but you can definately enjoy yourself running most NEW DX10 games on medium with a hefty 45+ Frames. (give or take... take when it comes to CRYSIS)

If you want its lightning speed when it comes to multitasking, Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) the DUAL CORE CPU and 2GB of ram will keep you going for a LONG while. You will be zooming in and out of programs faster than you can click.

If your worried about your computer getting over crowded the 200GB HDD will keep your tears at bay. And if you manage to fill THAT up, which unless you have movies and pictures and music up the ying-yang, you can always invest in removable HDD's.

Over All... This machine is one of the BEST midrange beasts you can get your hands on. For the price, if i had the money, i would get it.

I've got this laptop and i love it had it for 2 months

But there are issues for the price its a great build however the touch sensitive buttons are hardly touch sensitive, some force is used to make them activate

Video card is 256Mb which is amazing for a laptop (you categorize this model as mid range but thats a high end feature in my books) However my model came standard with 4Gb memory which is great but theres no 64bit OS option not yet anyway which is annoying to say the least

But too say the least this is an amazing laptop i paid $1600 so a few issues is understandable in such a power rich laptop

It’s not the most powerful, but its games performance and features help the Toshiba A350 stand out in the price bracket for mid-price laptops
