The Lenovo T-series (with a 15 inch screen and dock) has been my dream machine for years. They are so fast, powerful, flexible and expandable, yet not too heavy to carry. It's almost like the power of a 17 or 20 inch screened laptop, for the weight of a 12-13 inch machine.
It is also the longest lived range of ThinkPad models, and will probably soon have SSD and a Blu-Ray burner meaning no new technology is missing. Given a choice, I'd probably choose a T-series, even over the X300.

For this price, the Vostro’s plain looks can be overlooked in favour of its impressive battery life

Not quite the consumer/business crossover it aims to be, but there’s a lot to like in this clever mix of old-style business laptop and feature-packed modern machine

Although the basics of this router are somewhat low spec (no 802.11n or Gigabit Ethernet), the extras do make it interesting.

Sumptuous design, a fantastic screen and a high-quality feel. Not as easy to use as an iPhone, but far more powerful
