PCA and Mwave 'Post to WIN!' Website Competition Terms and Conditions

How to enter:

You've read PC Authority's product reviews, but what do you think about the tech you own? To win 1 of 40 x $50 Mwave vouchers or 1 of 4 x $250 Mwave prizes*, all you have to do is register to become part of the PC Authority community at www.pcauthority.com.au and post a user review in the user review Forums on the pcauthority.com.au website, within the nominated promotional period (from Thursday 9th October 2008 to Monday 12th January 2009).

Think of this as a place to do a bit of community service and recommend your favourite tech products to others, or vent your frustration about products you don't like.

There are three areas in the Forums to post user reviews: PCs and Notebooks, Peripherals, Software.

The competition is a game of skill. The top 4 most interesting and insightful user reviews during the promotional period (from Thursday 9th October 2008 to Monday 12th January 2009) will win 1 of 4 x $250 Mwave prizes* (see point 6 for specific prize details). In addition, we have weekly prizes. The top 40 most interesting and insightful user reviews posted between 9am, Thursday 9th October 2008 to midnight, Friday 5th December 2008 will be rewarded with 1 of 40 x $50 Mwave vouchers.

Conditions of entry:

  1. Information on how to enter and what prize from part of these Conditions of Entry.
  2. Entry is only open to Australian & NZ residents. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, participating outlets and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the promotion process or for submitting a promotion entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry or the pcauthority.com.au Conditions of Use of Registration.
  4. The same individual may post as many user reviews as they like.
  5. The promotion commences 9am, Thursday 9th October 2008. Entries close midnight, Monday 12th January 2009. The decision on the final winner will take place at Haymarket Media, 52 Victoria St, McMahons Point NSW 2060.
  6. There are 44 prizes in total; 4 x $250 Mwave prizes and 40 x $50 Mwave vouchers. The total prize pool value is $3,000.00. The top 4 most interesting and insightful user reviews posted on pcauthority.com.au in the user review Forums (or in the reviews section) during the promotional period (from Thursday 9th October 2008 to Monday 12th January 2009) will win 1 x $250 Mwave prizes. These four winners will be able to choose one product from a selection of Mwave technology prizes to the total value of $250. The Mwave technology prize selection will be dependent upon product models and Mwave stock available at the present time. The secondary weekly prizes will be issued to the top 40 most interesting and insightful user reviews posted between 9am, Thursday 9th October 2008 to midnight, Friday 5th December 2008. Each of these winners will receive 1 of 40 x $50 Mwave vouchers. 10 secondary prize winners will be chosen by the editor/s of pcauthority.com.au every fortnight.
  7. The winners will be notified by email, telephone or in writing at the contact details provided in the promotion.
  8. Winners will be announced on pcauthority.com.au at the end of the entire competition. The competition concludes at midnight, Monday 12th January 2009. Entrants who do not win will not be contacted.
  9. The winners should allow up to 30 days after notification for receipt of their prize.
  10. If any of the winners cannot be contacted within 30 days of the announcement or winners, Haymarket Media reserves the right to redraw the prize to another entrant.
  11. No responsibility accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  12. All user reviews submitted will become property of Haymarket Media.
  13. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this promotion, or by any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this promotion. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
  14. Any costs associated with accessing the www.pcauthority.com.au website is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used.
  15. The promoter and the sponsor may use the entrants' names for promotional purposes, i.e. to update the entrants on upcoming or newly announced products. If you do not wish to receive this information, please uncheck the box within the entry form. Haymarket Media Pty Ltd respects your privacy.   16. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall be deemed invalid.
  17. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion.
