Laser makes DVD-R's interesting

May 28, 2007
Blank optical media bundled with software.
The technical world of optical media is a fascinating one involving lasers, error correction mathematics and high speed motors.

Admittedly, we don’t find the retail world as fascinating; however Laser is doing its part to make it more appealing. They have started bundling three month subscriptions of Norton Internet Security 2007 with 50 packs of DVD-Rs. The discs themselves are 4.7GB with write speeds of up to 16X.

After the 90 day subscription has expired, users will be able to purchase a full licence for the software at the web-based price of $99.95 or $149.95 for one or two years respectively. Buying multiple packs of DVDs won’t increase the licence length.

Sometime during June Laser will start bundling the same 90 day version of Norton Internet Security 2007 with its flash drives in capacities from 512MB and upwards.

Packs of 50 DVD-Rs are available now for $24.95.
