Four new colours for tiny music player.
Apple has introduced four new versions of the iPod Shuffle in different colours, following the lead of its hugely successful iPod Nano line.

Blue, pink, green and orange Shuffles will join the current silver model. All five clip-on media players will have the same 1GB capacity and $119 price tag.

The iPod Shuffle has sold well for Apple since the second-generation model was introduced in September.

The tiny device was the second-best selling digital music player in the US over the 2006 holiday season, trailing only the silver iPod Nano, according to a recent report by Current Analysis.

The iPod Shuffle is the third portable media player from Apple to be offered in multiple colours.

The iPod Nano has used the concept to dominate sales, grabbing more than a third of all holiday sales. Apple's flagship iPod is available in black or white.
