MSI boosts virtual reality with the aptly named VR Boost Kit

MSI continues to double down on the virtual.

MSI is getting behind VR in a big way. At Computex this year the company had more than a few VR stations for punters to try, and was even showing off a back-mounted PC for getting relatively untethered VR action. MSI's latest piece of VR kit isn't quite so high-concept, however.

The VR Boost Kit is simply a dedicated set of VR connections built into a 5.25in drive bay expansion. It features two USB3 connections and an HDMI connector, along with a bracket to neatly link the Boost Kit to your PC's video card.

The unit itself comes in stylish black, but there's also a silver sticker included in case your PC case is lighter in tone.

Anything that saves us having to mess about with the nest of cables in the back of my PC is definitely welcome. Of course, with 5.15in bays fast disappearing from many PC cases, it may not be all that useful for everyone.

We're waiting on a local price, but can't see this piece of kit being too expensive.
