Microsoft Surface to launch at midnight on October 25th

Will you join the late-night queue to become one of the first official Windows 8 tablet owners?

Microsoft plans to launch its Surface tablet at midnight on Thursday October 25th – alongside the new Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 RT. The Surface will appear in pop-up shops in the US, although local release locations are still unclear.

The Surface is Microsoft’s big chance to cut into the Google and Apple dominated tablet and phone market – so Microsoft's under a lot of pressure. The Surface will come in full Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 RT versions supposedly, with pricing still up in the air, but some sources saying around the $US399 mark. Will you be in the midnight queue waiting for yours?
