Dell launches Latitude 10 Windows 8 tablet with removable battery

A removable battery in a tablet? What else could Dell cram in? A fingerprint reader you say? Sure, why not.

Dell has revealed a trio of products in its new Windows 8 business range, the most interesting of which is the new Dell Latitude 10 Windows 8 Tablet.

Featuring a 10.1in 1366x768 IPS display with optional Wacom stylus support, the Dell Latitude 10 handles Windows 8 with Intel's next-gen Clover Trail Atom processor and 2GB of RAM, with 128GB storage to boot.

Dell has shown BlackBerry-like levels of security shenanigans too, with an optional fingerprint reader, data encryption and Intel's Platform Trust technology.

The Latitude 10 will also arrive packing a full size USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader and a mini-HDMI port for big screen action.

Oh, and did we mention that it also supports removable 2-cell and 4-cell batteries for road warriors and workaholics alike? Because it totally does.
