The Obsidian website is being awfully mysterious right now. Not content to tease us with glimpses of South Park: The Stick of Truth, the RPG maker is now hinting at a whole new project, something with distinct dark fantasy overtones.
The landing page for its site features a serpent eating its tale, the classic ourobouros of ancient mythology, and the above inscription. Also, hidden in the page's source code, according to NeoGAF, is the following:
“< ! –. X . X X . X X –>
< ! — To tenderness, fellowship. To fellowship, vigilance. So bring we all to the Night Market. I am the Spindle of Esenath. Know me by my light and stand with me in darkness. –>”
Even the lone forum created for this mysterious 'Project X' isn't helping. Current speculation runs to a new fantasy IP, some possible Fallout options, and even a game based on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.
But at least it's good to know that the art of the tease is alive and well.
