Sony PRS-T2 e-reader comes with Potter

New e-reader includes Facebook and Evernote integration, plus a free Harry Potter e-book

Sony has taken the wraps off its PRS-T2 e-reader, with an improved Pearl e-ink screen and new social features.

It's more of an evolution than a revolution, with the PRS-T2 featuring the same 6in, 600x800px screen as its PRS-T1 predecessor – albeit with new page turn animations and pinch-to-zoom features. Weighing in at 164g, the e-reader comes packing 2GB of memory, and will run for 2 months on a single charge with Wi-Fi turned off.

Sony's also added social features to the e-reader, letting you post highlights from books you're reading on Facebook and Evernote. Books can be purchased in EPUB format from the Sony Reader Store, while library card holders can borrow titles from their local library over Wi-Fi using the Public Library icon.

Available in red, white and black finishes from tomorrow, the PRS-T2 comes bundled with a stylus – and a download code for a free Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone e-book from JK Rowling's Pottermore store.
