Photos leaks of the Sony Xperia Tablet

Sony's latest tablet takes design cues from its predecessors but adds Xperia branding and more.

More (and better) images of Sony's recently rumoured Xperia Tablet have leaked ahead of its expected launch at IFA. The nimages show the Xperia branding on the back and demonstrate that Sony will be keeping the "fold" design that made the Tablet S such a standout in such a crowded space.

Sony has also packed more into less – the Xperia Tablet is 11.9mm at its thickest point versus the comparitively portly 20.6mm of the Tablet S.

Screen-wise, the Xperia Tablet is expected to feature a 1280x800, 9.4in screen; while internally a Tegra 3 processor will keep everything ticking along. Storage will come in the standard of options of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, although as always Australia may only get one or two of those offered locally. Apparently a keyboard case (fast becoming the default accessory for tablets) and splash-proofing are also on the still-rumoured features list. We'll have more when it debuts at IFA.
