Alexis Denisof is a really interesting actor. As one of Joss Whedon's stable of regulars, he's been in TV shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Dollhouse. He's also recently finished a low budget adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing with Joss. However, his latest project is something even more interesting - a new Bryan Singer produced web series called H+ The Digital Series.
That's Bryan 'Usual Suspects and X-Men' Singer.
The first two episodes of H+ are available on Youtube now, and if you subscribe to the channel you get the first six as they become available. Then, every Friday, two more episodes will be posted, along with recaps, interviews and fan discussions.
And, having just watched the first episode, it's looking like something any fan of interesting SF should watch for all 48 episodes. The series is about a new implant technology, a chip that brings the internet into our own brains via augmented reality... And what happens when it all goes horribly wrong.
“This multifaceted, sci-fi series is perfect for the Internet as it tells the story from different characters’ perspectives - jumping from time, place and viewpoint as the narrative comes together,” said Bryan Singer, Producer, in a release today. “These short, addictive episodes each end with a cliffhanger. As more episodes debut, the audience has the unique ability to rearrange them sequentially or by characters’ storylines or locations, so that they can retell our story in their own preference.”
You can watch the first episode here, and I highly recommend it. There's also a great interview with Alexis over at The AV Club, which is well worth a read.
