With confirmation of the Galaxy Note 2 it looks like the big screen smartphone form factor might be here to stay, especially if HTC go ahead and release a 5in One X.
This is still very much a rumour at this stage with DigiTimes uncovering the news from the old standby of “industry sources”. But it's not the the only source of these rumours - we've also heard other rumblings that the One X will have a successor coming in the next few months and that this unit will have a "big special feature".
It looks like that "feature" might well be a 5in display with a rather stunning 1794x1080 resolution. With Samsung pushing phones into 5.5in territory and even Apple rumoured to be up-sizing the iPhone to 4in, tt seems like a great time for HTC to step into the ring and compete. Check back for official updates as they arrive.
