Electronic Arts has announced alt-rockers Linkin Park will be featuring in-game footage cut with real life warfighting action in the clip for its upcoming single, Castle of Glass. Mike Shinoda, the game's vocalist and producer has also produced the score for Warfighter.
“Linkin Park has always shown a great deal of respect and gratitude for our servicemen and women, many of whom are fans of their music,” said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor, in today's release. “Partnering with them for the Medal of Honor Warfighter soundtrackand the ‘CASTLE OF GLASS’musicvideo is a natural fit for us. We have shared values and respect for these heroes from many different nations – and their families – who serve on our behalf around the world.”
Sadly, I think Black Ops 2 is way out in front with Trent Reznor. I feel dirty just saying that.
The Castle of Glass video, inspired by real soldiers' stories (yep, I bet real vets were just crying out for Linkin Park to tell their story), was produced in collaboration with Digital Domain and game developer Danger Close.
