Mass Effect 3 new single player DLC, Leviathan, announced

Add-on will expand the game with new characters and upgrades, and explore the origin of the Reapers

One of the best things about the Mass Effect universe were the Reapers - the sheer enpormity of them both in size and ambition. Also, they were just flatout freaky. But Mass Effect 3 was, perhaps, a little vague on truly rounding out our understanding of these AI overlords.

It seems we weren't the only people who thought there might be some more story-water left to wring from the Mass Effect stone as EA is going to be dealing with the Reaper's creationt with its first piece of major single-player DLC for Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan has been announced at EA’s Summer Showcase event, and the DLC  will focus on the Reapers while adding new weapons, upgrades and characters to the game. The content will take place during the ME3 storyline, which might be a dash irritating for people who've finished the end game section.

It will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 and will cost 800 Microsoft Points, or around about $10 for the others (we think). We'll have more info as it comes to hand.
