Could the Amazon Kindle Phone become reality?

Is the Kindle manufacturer forging its own Android smartphone deep within its workshop?

We haven't heard much about Amazon's Kindle Phone since rumours first started swirling back in May – but that hasn't stopped Bloomberg from stirring up the pot of speculation.

According to two people 'with knowledge of the matter', Chinese manufacturer Foxconn (aka the iPhone maker) is currently working with Amazon on the mysterious Kindle Phone.

Given the success of the Kindle Fire – and the impending launch of the Kindle Fire 2 – an Amazon Kindle Phone would be the next logical step for the retail giant, offering yet another way for punters to envelop themselves in Amazon's ecosystem.

Would you buy a Kindle Phone? Let us know in the comments below – and stay tuned for more info as and when we get it.
