So, apparently, there was some minor anger over the Mass Effect 3 ending... fancy that?!
Wilful ignorance aside, those many millions of angry Shepards can now look forward to a fuller, more complete ending to the game. On June 26, Bioware will release the Extended Cut DLC for all platforms, for zero cost.
According to the DLC site, the new cut fills in a lot more of the game's ending, and brings in a lot more of the impact of player decisions. The game's epilogue will deliver a greater sense of closure, apparently; it certainly sounds like there's a lot in the DLC, as at nearly 2GB on total, it's a lot of data.
"The Extended Cut is an expansion of the original endings to Mass Effect 3. It does not fundamentally change the endings, but rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings, and reveals greater detail on the impact of player decisions," according to the DLC FAQ.
Apparently, to get to the new stuff though, you'll need to load up your last Save Game, just before the attack on the Cerberus base, and play through. For more details, and a neat interview, check out the official site.
