Siri is coming to the iPad 3

Apple's virtual assistant will be available on the new iPad when it arrives with iOS 6, coming this autumn

Apple has just announced that iOS 6 will bring Siri in its full form to the new iPad. Owners of the older iPads won't get the Siri treat when they update to iOS 6 and will have to stick to dictation only.

The new version of Siri is better than ever with smarter interactions that allow you to launch apps, as well as request direct information about sports and films. Hopefully dictation is as good or even better than before, too – and with any luck Apple will roll out some of the business information features that have only been available to US Siri users to the rest of the world. iOS 6 will be availble from July.
