The Apple TV set-top box could be getting a full App Store with downloadable third-party apps – paving the way for the rumoured Apple iTV. That's according to Boy Genius Report, which claims that Apple will introduce an Apple TV SDK for third-party developers at WWDC on Monday.
The site also revealed last week that Apple will be introducing a revamped OS for Apple TV at WWDC – a further indicator that Apple is using its set-top box as a testbed for its rumoured TV set.
With Tim Cook recently stating that Apple TV "is an area of intense interest for us," and commenting that gaming on the Apple TV "could be interesting," it looks like the little black box is set to become an increasingly important part of Apple's line-up in the run-up to the iTV's launch.
