Deadlight looks stylish as hell; makes us crave a PC release

Game trailer: Post-apocalyptic side-scrolling action with a taste for the theatrical.

Arcade titles are rad. Unburdened with the self-imposed market pressure of samey expectations, arcade titles allow developers to take more of a risk with games in a way that big-budget box-copy titles seemingly struggle to pursue and/or achieve. In fact, some of my more memorable gaming experiences over the last 12 months have been arcade titles: tense fights until dawn in Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, co-op horde battles in Shank 2, and leading faithful villagers to salvation or destruction in From Dust.

Survival-horror game Deadlight is an upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade title that immediately captures the attention. If you’re a sucker for post-apocalyptic tales, zombies, comic-panel cutscenes or stylised art design, this game will doubtlessly catch your eye. If you’re a fan of all of these things, you’re in luck because they’re all present in Deadlight’s latest game trailer.

We’re in agreement with the two top-rated comments on YouTube: “Bring this to PC!”
