The LG Display is a 5in 1080p LCD screen that manages to pack in an eye melting 440ppi. The iPhone’s Retina Display has 326ppi, so we can only imagine how sharp and clear the LG Display must be.
What’s that? You’re not impressed as it’s LCD? Hold on now, this is the very best of LCD as a variant of IPS called Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS). Which basically means on top of that ridiculous resolution it’ll offer wide viewing angles, fast refresh rates, and excellent brightness efficiency.
And the best part of all this? They’re going to be ready for production (presumably in LG mobiles) later this year.
